I’ve been meaning to do a tutorial for an origami lotus for a while now. Finally got to it, yay! It’s super pretty and much easier than it looks. It also doesn’t take too much time since the folds are relatively simple. I’m not sure if it floats or not. Will have to test it out and let you know some other time. Or, you can fold one and tell me the results.
The origami lotus requires twelve 1:2 ratio papers (4 greens, and 8 of your color of choice; I used 4 light purples and 4 dark purples). You’ll also need a rubber band or a piece of string to tie them together. All the materials are listed at the beginning of the video.
The lotus symbolizes purity and beauty in my culture. Does it symbolize the same in yours?
